Recently,\nhave appeared in various media in reference to the European Directive\n2024\/825, which prohibits sustainability seals or labels that are not\nbased on a third-party audited certification system. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

As is well known,\nEuropean directives are not mandatory rules, but\nset targets that all EU member states must comply with or\ndesign reference frameworks, always for the different countries to develop\ntheir national rules in this regard. The European Directive 2024\/825 is not new,\nhas been in force since March 2024, but has not yet been transposed\ninto a national standard, which will have to happen until September 2026. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

\nWith this in mind, we would like to remind our customers that the\nBioscore Sustainability Certification is based on a certification system and relies on\na third party audit. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

Therefore,\nis a brand that offers total guarantee and reliability, accepted by\ndifferent international organizations such as Travalyst; recognized by\nbooking engines such as Booking.com, Destinia and Google; admitted in programs of\nsustainability certification of international chains such as Marriott (with\nall its brands) and validated by professional associations such as HOSBEC and\nGlobal Hotel Alliance (GHA) in its Discovery’s Green Collection program, among\nothers. The numbers speak for themselves, with more than 850\ncertified accommodations in 29 countries. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

On the other hand,\nboth the Bioscore standard and the information regarding the\ncertification scheme are public and can be consulted on our website,\nin compliance with the principle of transparency that has always guided us. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

\nFor both the\ndevelopment of the standard and its revision, stakeholders such as industry associations, booking engines, major international hotel chains and national chains\nhave been consulted. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

Currently,\nall companies holding certifications or seals in the field of\nsustainability are expectant and preparing to adapt to the new\nsituation that will be established within the framework of the provisions of the European Directive\n2024\/825. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

In this sense,\nBioscore has taken this aspect into account in the development of its\ncertification scheme and is taking the necessary measures to, when the time comes and\nif necessary, make the appropriate changes to continue\noffering its customers all the guarantees and confidence. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

It is sad to see\nhow some organizations, both national and international,\ntake advantage of moments of uncertainty to generate distrust in the\nsector, which distances us from achieving the global goals set by\nthe UN in the Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>
